Hi!
I received an email about “The Future of Theatre” and the list of panels they were hosting this year.
This year’s theme is “survival”.
The titles of the panels include things like:
“Surving the financial cliff”
“Surving the shit storm”
“The cost of free speech”
“How does the craft survive?”
One thing that struck me here is that they are all defensive in their presentation.
It is a defensive crouch that will limit your ability to innovate.
One lesson I’ve been trying to teach everyone is that there is opportunity in volatility.
Right now, the world feels especially volatile.
That got me thinking about what a forward-focused conference agenda would look like.
What would you like to hear or learn at a conference that helped you focus on change, growth, and opportunity?
Not just how to weather “the storm” or “survive”?
Let me know.
I’m curious.

BTW, I’m going to start building out a resource guide either in the Slack Channel or on my website for folks.
So send me suggestions for tools, ideas, or other resources that you’d like me to include or learn more about.
I don’t want to say that I will definitely include everything. But I want to see about building something out.

One more thing…
I’ve been doing this “The BIG Ticket” thing for about a month.
A few updates:
The newsletter is a hit with folks.
How am I measuring that?
About 2% subscriber growth.
The open rate is steady at around 46%.
Per post readership is up about 20%.
Overall, page views have jumped a lot, but it isn’t a fair comparison from doing one a week or so to one a day. But those numbers are up as well.
As long as I enjoy this. And, as long as you read it. I’ll keep doing this.
It has helped me collect ideas more consistently.
I hope the ideas and the discussions are useful to you.
Let me know what you think by hitting reply or saying hello in the Slack Channel.
