Hi!
Tonya Nelson talks about “radical” new business models for arts organizations.
I’m curious what you and your organization would consider “radical?”
Have you tried something new?
Here is a list of 10 quick ideas that you can use to expand the thinking of your organization to find new ways to keep your organization viable:
“No Fixed Prices” where all tickets are dynamically priced based on demand.
“Community Ownership”: think like a co-op or the Green Bay Packers.
“Co-Creation”: get your biggest supporters involved in programming decisions.
“Dynamic Groups”: where you allow groups to form around common interests, not just shared affiliations.
“Experience Insurance”: make a ticket risk free.
“Experience Bundling”: you plan out the whole experience. Call it a “Night on the Town” or whatever.
“Community Programming”: you can allow partners to schedule certain dates or events.
“Personal Concierge”: buy a ticket, get a concierge to assist you.
“Lifetime Membership”: a lifetime of membership with special benefits, opportunities, etc.
“The Million Dollar Ticket”: this is an idea that I had for a music festival I worked on. We didn’t even intend for it to sell. It was just a good promotional idea.
What do you think?
